Millions of single people around the world are trying to find that special someone. This effort is easier said than done, given how isolated everyone is today. And, as we all know, his popular 21st century solution to this problem is dating apps.
You see, this writer will tell you straight. She’s been using the app for a while and has mixed opinions. She’s not ideal by any means, but sometimes she can meet some decent people there. You know of some success stories among your friends, and you probably know of them too.
But once you decide to muster yourself up and join the competition of online dating, you have to think about which app to join. This is easier said than done because there are so many to choose from and it can be difficult to decide which ones are actually worth your time. But, as always, a few people reign supreme.
The website Dating News publishes a list of the most popular dating apps by state, and New Hampshire’s pick is Hinge, my personal favorite.
Known as the “dating app designed to be deleted,” Hinge prides itself on fostering lasting, long-term relationships, not just hookups and short-term “situations.” According to the app’s official website, the algorithm is apparently top-notch, thanks to the skills of “Hinge Lab researchers, behavioral analysts, and matchmakers” who “research daters and compatibility.”
In your true opinion, Hinge is definitely one of the most emotional dating apps out there. Rather than swiping left or right, users should like certain parts of a person’s profile (like an image or a question prompt), which increases the likelihood of starting a meaningful conversation. Additionally, you can see when someone likes your profile, which is a paid feature in other apps.
