PORTSMOUTH — On Monday, Oct. 16, the public is invited to explore a collection of Seacoast LGBTQ+ community audio and video archives. Tom Kaufhold and Holly Cashman, collaborators of the NH Seacoast LGBT History Project, will present oral history projects and other Share clips from your video archive.

Hosted by the St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox family, this taverna evening is one of Portsmouth’s special events celebrating his 400th anniversary and the enrichment of the community. Introduction to the leatherwork workshop
ROLLINGFORD — Learn the fundamentals of leatherworking from historic cordwainer Brett Walker during a one-day workshop at the historic Col. Paul Wentworth House in Rollinsford on Friday, October 20, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Let’s learn. Participants will create a replica of a leather document case based on an original owned by Samuel Lane (1718-1806), a shoemaker from Stratham, New Hampshire, and currently in the collection of the New Hampshire Historical Society. The $155 fee includes all materials and tools used during the workshop. This workshop is for adults (minors ages 15-18 may only enter with parental supervision) and space is limited. Painting the Parish House Harvest Supper and Speakers
GREENLAND — The Greenland Community Church Women’s Alliance will be sponsoring a special Paint the Parish House Harvest Supper at the Community Parish House, 44 Post Road, Greenland, on Friday, October 20th from 5-6 p.m. . Roast pork dinner costs $20 per person, $35 per couple, and $10 for children 10 and under. Following the dinner at 6:30 p.m., special speaker John Porter will speak on “Agricultural History in Barns,” which explores how New Hampshire’s barns have evolved over time to meet changing agricultural needs.
