GREEN BAY – The Christmas holidays are fast approaching and the Green Bay area is full of holiday events to attend.
It features live music events, shopping events, holiday and historical exhibits, and an annual holiday parade.
Here are 16 events to celebrate the spirit of the season.
TSO Presents “The Ghost of Christmas Eve”
The Trans-Siberian Orchestra will perform “The Ghost of Christmas Eve” on Nov. 15 at the Resch Center, 820 Armed Force Drive in Ashwaubenon. TSO will present his two shows at 2:30pm and 7:30pm.
TSO is a multi-platinum rock group that has consistently topped the touring charts for the past 15 years. Since his touring debut, TSO has performed over 2,000 Winter Tour shows in front of his over 18 million fans.
TSO will donate at least $1 to charity for every ticket sold. To date, more than $18 million has been donated by the group.

History on display at Neville Museum
“Holiday Memories of Downtown Green Bay” will be on display at the Neville Public Museum from Nov. 11 to Jan. 7.
This exhibit features animated figurines that once graced the windows of HC Prange’s department store. Bruce the Spruce is a talking Christmas tree. He gets up at a certain time to talk to shoppers.
We also have a children’s shop where you can purchase holiday gifts for youth ages 4 to 12 for $4 each. The presents are wrapped for them. Admission is included in the museum admission fee.
Hours of operation are Tuesdays from noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. The museum is located at 210 Museum Place.

Railway Museum hosts Festival of Trees, Holidays on the Rails
The National Railway Museum holds its annual exhibition. tree festival From November 16th to December 31st. The museum is located at 2285 S. Broadway, Ashwaubenon.
The festival features dozens of uniquely decorated trees among the museum’s historic locomotives and exhibits. The tree is sponsored and decorated by local organizations and individuals.
museum Holidays on the Rails The event will run from December 12th to 14th. The event is aimed at children from preschool through second grade, but everyone is welcome to attend. The event will include train rides, crafts, cookie decorating, games and a chance to meet Santa. Included in regular museum admission.
Regular museum hours are Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The museum will be closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Sunday, and will close at 2 p.m. on New Year’s Day.
The museum closes earlier the next day. Polar Express Train Ride An event will be held. Please note that all tickets for this year’s Polar Express Train Ride are sold out.

Holiday street market, Christkindle Market opens on November 17th
Christkindle Market on Broadway opens on November 17 with a holiday light display and the unveiling of a 20-foot-tall Christmas tree. The Christ Kindle Market on Broadway will be held from 5pm to 9pm on Fridays and from 11am to 3pm on Saturdays from November 17th to December 23rd.
A traditional German-style holiday street market is held annually at Red Sculpture Park and East Hubbard Street.
Free activities on Nov. 17 include horse-drawn carriage rides, photos with Santa and his reindeer, cookie decorating and tree giveaways.
Each market during the season will feature more than 20 vendor booths, caroling, German-style food and pretzels, beer and mulled wine, burning kegs at the s’mores station, rental igloo domes, and an ice skating rink.
The annual holiday parade will be held in downtown Green Bay on November 17th
“Let it Snow” is the theme of the 39th annual Prevere Green Bay Holiday Parade on Nov. 17.
The parade begins at 10 a.m. and marches down Jefferson Street, Cherry Street and Washington Street.
Attendees can see giant balloons, local marching bands, dancers, singers, and of course Santa and his reindeer.
Ballet “The Nutcracker” returns to Widener
The Northeastern Wisconsin Dance Organization and the Widener Philharmonic will present “The Nutcracker” from Nov. 24 to 26. The ballet will be performed daily at 2 p.m. at The Widener, 2420 Nicollet Drive, on the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay campus.
The story takes place on Christmas Eve. Fifteen-year-old Clara goes looking for the Nutcracker, but strange things happen in the middle of the night. Clara meets an Arabian princess, a Russian Cossack, a French ballet dancer, and a Sugar Plum Fairy.

Titletown will host its Winter Jubilee Warm Up on November 24-25
The Winter Jubilee Warm-up is scheduled to be held at Title Town on November 24th and 25th. Several activities will be held in honor of the holiday season.
Jubilee begins Nov. 24 at 10 a.m. with ice skating and the opening of Santa’s mailbox. Santa will arrive and the bonfire will be lit at 4pm. Visitors can take photos with reindeer and other holiday scenes while enjoying holiday music. Carriage rides begin at 5 p.m. To visit with Santa, you must register at titletown.com.
The November 25th event will follow the same schedule and will be held on Fridays and Saturdays through December.
Other events in December include visiting Santa, watching Characters on Ice from 6:30 p.m. Tuesday through Dec. 19, getting your pet photo taken with Santa, and holiday Includes the opportunity to participate in themed trivia.

Frank’s Christmas celebrates the holiday show’s 24th anniversary
Let Me Be Frank Productions will present Frank’s Christmas on November 24th and 25th at the Meyer Theater, 117 S. Washington St.
Each year, a new original story is presented as a musical comedy show. This is the 24th year the group has held a holiday show.

Visit WPS Garden of Lights starting November 24th
The Green Bay Botanical Garden will host its annual WPS Garden of Lights starting November 24th. Every night from 4:30 to 9 p.m., 350,000 lights in the botanical exhibit illuminate the gardens. The exhibit can be viewed every night until December 30th.
Nature-inspired light exhibits include a forest of icicles, flowers, a 60-foot-tall walk-through caterpillar, an interactive light-up necklace, and more. Visitors can also meet Santa and Mrs. Claus and send letters to Santa.

Holiday Craft Show will be held at Resch Expo on November 25th

Support small businesses by shopping in the Broadway, Downtown, Old Main Street, Military Avenue areas and the City of Green Bay on November 25th. The free trolley runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and takes you to different neighborhoods.
Drinks with the Grinch at Resch Expo
The Green Sourpass stops in Green Bay, so you must be at least 21 years old to participate in Drinks with the Grinch. Tickets include a free cocktail, holiday snacks, a free photo with the Grinch, and more. The event will be held on Dec. 2 from 5 to 7 p.m.
Sample wine and beer during a winter walk
Tickets for this year’s Winter Wine and Beer Walk are available now. The walk will take place in the Broadway District on December 1st, 8th, and 15th from 5pm to 9pm.
Participants should check in at Old Fort Square, 211 N. Broadway. Ticket holders can enjoy tastings at local wineries and breweries while visiting Broadway District businesses. After the walk, participants can submit a punch card at one of the participating businesses and be entered into a drawing for holiday prizes.

If you haven’t already sent your wish list to Santa, head over to the Bay Beach Wildlife Refuge located at 1660 East Shore Drive and pick up cookies and cocoa with Santa. The event will be held on December 10th from 1pm to 3pm. You can write him a letter, decorate cookies, and enjoy hot cocoa. The cost is $3 per person. Heritage Hill will host “Fort Howard Christmas” December 8-9
Celebrate a “Fort Howard Christmas” on Dec. 8 and 9 at Heritage Hill State Historic Park, 2640 S. Webster Ave. in Arouez. The event will be held daily from 5 to 9 p.m.
Event attendees can walk through the lantern-lit park, listen to festive music and warm up by a bonfire. Food and drinks will be available for purchase.
On December 8th, there will be a visit from Old World Santa, his reindeer and two elves.
Dudley Bader Chorale joins annual holiday pops concert
St. Norbert College’s Dudley Bader Chorale will hold a holiday pops concert on Dec. 8 and 9 at The Widener, 2420 Nicollet Drive.
The chorale will feature the Holiday Pops Orchestra, Bader Studio of Performing Arts, and NEWDO Ballet.
