The Flats – With the fall schedule coming to a close, the Georgia Tech golf team will be competing on both coasts this weekend, with one group competing in the prestigious East Lake Cup event, which will be held Monday through Wednesday at the Atlanta Athletic Club in Johns Creek, Georgia. players will participate. Tech University finished third in the Olympia Fields/Fighting Illini Invitational, eighth in the first two Ben Hogan College Invitational tournaments and second in its home meet in the Bushnell/Golfweek Coaches Poll. The Yellow Jackets defeated the No. 1-ranked Tar Heels in the nation in the semifinals, but lost to the Gators in the championship match. The four teams will compete in 18 holes of stroke play on Monday for seeding for match play, which will be held on Monday (semifinals) and Wednesday (repechage). Tech University will be competing in the Cypress Point Classic for the third time after winning the 2019 event and finishing runner-up in 2016.
