Santan Valley Library Friends will celebrate Santan Valley’s first National Library Friends Week from October 15th to 21st. They are hosting a community membership drive where everyone who joins the group as a member will receive a free raffle ticket and a chance to win several gifts for their “Neighborhood Night Out Raffle” at their book sale on October 28th. Friends of the San Tan Valley Library, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, has announced several upcoming events for the community.
The Friends is a volunteer organization dedicated to supporting the San Tan Valley Library and the surrounding community. They are hosting a community membership drive where everyone who joins the group as a member will receive a free raffle ticket and he will win one of several gifts in the “Neighborhood Night Out Raffle” You can participate. Prizes include gift certificates from local businesses in the community, and Friends members receive benefits such as discounts on book sales and extended library book checkout for up to 28 days.
Everyone who becomes a member for $10 receives a raffle ticket and a chance to win prizes. 1st prize is $100, 2nd prize is $75, and 3rd prize is $50. All proceeds from the membership drive and raffle directly benefit the community and support programming at the San Tan Valley Library. Winners will be drawn at the end of the Love Your Library Used Book Sale on Saturday, October 28th. Winners will be contacted via email and announced on Facebook.
Friends of the Santan Valley Library will also be celebrating Santan Valley’s first ever National Library Friends Week from October 15th to 21st. The Friends will be setting up a table at the Santan Valley Library on Mondays, October 15th to 21st, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Residents can ask questions, become members or volunteers, and browse the books and services offered at the library.
On Saturday, October 28th, Friends will be hosting a “Love Your Library Used Book Sale” from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The book sale is one of the organization’s major fundraising events. A variety of books for children and adults are sold at affordable prices. All proceeds support San Tan Valley Library programs and services. We accept cash, Zelle, and credit cards. Winning lottery tickets will be drawn at the end of sales.
Santan Valley Library Friends is an all-volunteer organization and is seeking volunteers to assist with book sales and other events throughout the year.
The group’s mission is to “promote positive communication and establish effective relationships between the Santan Valley Library and local residents; to advocate for and represent the library through active community involvement; To encourage, support and promote the importance of literacy among children and adults in society.” community. ”
Monthly meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month in the Bronze Room, located across from the library in the Pinal Administration Building. The meeting time will be from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, so we look forward to seeing all members and volunteers.
