CLAY, Ky. (WEHT) – A Nashville superstar and a tri-state business owner are uniting for a good cause on a food app.
Scott Stone is the creator of the Fat Boy app, which helps users find locally owned restaurants and kitchen trucks in their area. Stone said he connected with country music star Jelly Roll through TikTok, who got his team to sign up for the app.
During the meeting, Stone realized the singer needed help fixing up his food truck. He decides to help and Rollin’ with Jelly takes his food truck to Clay’s to have it repaired. This paved the way for a partnership with music stars for future toy drives.
“This is one of those things that didn’t happen by chance,” Stone said. “This is where the Lord has led us. If people come out and donate, these kids are going to have a great Christmas.”
A toy drive will be held at Clay on Dec. 16 from noon to 3 p.m. Toy donations will be accepted at 66 West Railroad Street. All toys collected will be donated to the local Isaiah 1:17 House. Anyone who brings a new toy will receive $5 off a meal at a nearby food truck along Main Street. No word yet on whether Jelly Roll himself will appear.
