FOLSOM, Calif. — The Harris Center, Folsom’s performing arts venue, will host a variety of events in late 2023 and early 2024. Events include plays, concerts, and more.
As we welcome the new year, we would like to introduce some events that we hope everyone will look forward to.
20,000 leagues under the sea
Falcon’s Eye Company, the production division of Folsom Lake University’s School of Drama, will screen “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea” daily from Thursday, Nov. 16 through Sunday, Nov. 19.
Shows Thursday through Saturday begin at 7:30 p.m. Sunday’s show begins at 2 p.m.

Cinderella
The World Ballet Series, which tours live ballet performances on stages across the country, will bring “Cinderella” to Folsom for one day only.
Tickets can be purchased on Saturday, November 18th at 2pm or 6pm.

The Beatles (White Album) 55th Anniversary
The Beatles Guitar Project Rock Orchestra, sponsored by the Sacramento Preparatory Music Academy, commemorates the Beatles’ self-titled album released in 1968.
Professional musicians from the greater Sacramento area will perform the album in its entirety for one night only on Tuesday, November 21st, in celebration of its 55th anniversary.
Ticket prices range from $19 to $47.
Tribute concert experience
Bee Gees Gold, Las Vegas’ most frequently performed Bee Gees tribute show, will be performed for one night only at the Harris Center on Saturday, November 25th. Ticket prices range from $61 to $76.
“The Three Queens of Motown,” to be held at the Harris Center on Sunday, Nov. 26, will feature performers wearing caricatures of Diana Ross, Tina Turner and Aretha Franklin, according to the event center’s website. It will be a night of R&B, rock, and soul. Tickets start at $44 and go up to $72 for premium seats.
“Zeppelin Live!” A nationwide tour of Led Zeppelin’s tribute show will be held on Friday, January 5, 2024. All seats are priced at $59 and can be viewed here.
nutcracker
“The Nutcracker” will be performed in three different formats.
On Saturday, Dec. 2, at 10 a.m., there will be a dance performance by the Sugar Plum Fairy during a sold-out pancake breakfast.
The FLC Dance and Music Department will present “The Nutcracker Reconsidered!” The event center’s website says it combines the show with “steampunk innovation.” Held on Thursday, December 7th at 6pm Click here for ticket information.
“The Nutcracker,” in classical ballet form, will be performed at the Harris Center from Thursday, Dec. 14 through Sunday, Dec. 17. It will be performed by the El Dorado Hills-based Pamela Hayes Classical Ballet Company. Tickets and showtimes can be found here.
master of illusion
Masters of Illusion, a modern magic show featuring award-winning musicians, will perform for one night only on Sunday, January 7, 2024.
The live show has reached tens of thousands of people across the United States through live performances over the past six years, according to the Harris Center website.

jesus christ superstar
As part of the 2023-2024 Broadway Series, the Harris Center will present the “Jesus Christ Superstar” 50th Anniversary Tour from Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2024 through Saturday, Jan. 13, 2024.
The Tony Award-nominated musical, written by Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber, premiered on Broadway in 1971.

Johnny Cash | Official Concert Experience
A memorial service for Johnny Cash, known as “The Man in Black,” who twice performed live at Folsom State Prison, will be held at the Harris Center in January 2024.
A video of Cash from an episode of “The Johnny Cash Show” will be projected on a screen above the stage, and a live band and singer will accompany his performance.
There will be two performances on Thursday, January 18, 2024 and Friday, January 19, 2024.
