This summer, the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Education launched four faculty-led short-term study abroad programs related to majors in the School of Education. These programs provided students with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to expand their worldview and build cultural awareness while learning valuable course content and earning credits toward a degree.
Nearly 100 students will participate in these programs in summer 2023, taking courses that explore team building in Costa Rica, theater in London, teaching in the Galapagos, and mobile/sedentary behavior in Portugal. I have started.
Thanks to generous donors to the school’s Impact 2030 initiative, scholarships were provided to students in financial need.
In summer 2024, the Faculty of Education will more than double the number of study abroad programs it offers, including new opportunities to study in Ireland, Australia, Greece, Cuba, and the Dominican Republic.Click here for details Summer 2024 Study Abroad Opportunityand how they connect to student interests and majors.
