Sunny Isles Beach, Florida – South Floridians are rallying to show solidarity with Israel.
Shortly after one of the darkest days in Israel’s history, the Jewish community of Sunny Isles Beach gathered for prayer.
Some held defiant placards expressing anger against the terrorist group Hamas, while others held placards highlighting the chaos.
“We are all one, God is one, and that is the main prayer of Judaism. So to be united is to know our strength and support each other in times of sorrow. ,” Brian Zinberg said.
Even the youngest faces of them all are learning about the cruel evil that struck so close to home.
“We’re trying to be very open because this is real and it’s better to talk to us about it than to look at the media,” parent Barbara Spielberg said.
A new solidarity rally for Israel was held in Broward County.
Participants at the Cooper City event wore cheering symbols on their hats, backs and shirts.
“Tonight is not a celebration. We respond to the senator’s actions, to the hatred of Basel,” said Rabbi Frank DeWoskin of Temple Beth Emmett.
Whether Jewish or not, everyone in attendance had Israel in their hearts.
“This is an opportunity for people of all races and creeds to come together and stand up for the basic human rights of the Israeli people,” said Audra Berg of the Jewish Federation of Broward County.
