STATE UNIVERSITY — State Rep. Paul Takac, D-Center, will host two events next week aimed at hearing different perspectives on issues important to residents of the 82nd Congressional District.
The first event is a teletown hall scheduled for Tuesday at 7 p.m. Those interested in attending Tele-Town Hall should call the Takac District Office in advance at 814-308-0569 for the best number to connect them to next Tuesday night’s event. A recording will also be posted and available for viewing online after the event.
For those unable to attend the teletown hall or for residents who prefer in-person conversations, Takac will also be hosting a coffee and conversation event on Thursday, Dec. 7 from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Good Day Cafe in the city. It will be held. He is located at 286 W. Hamilton Avenue in State College. The RSVP link is available at https://bit.ly/TakacCC.
“The events of next week highlight the critical importance of elected officials making their positions clear and accountable to voters,” Takacs said. “Open and honest dialogue is critical to a healthy democracy and strengthened communities.
“Listening to our constituents’ questions, concerns, and ideas not only provides feedback, but also considers and explores possible legislative or community-based solutions to the challenges we all face, now and in the future.” We strongly encourage residents to participate if possible, even if they do not have specific concerns or questions.”
Residents who would like more information about next week’s events should contact the Takac District Office at 814-308-0569 or email RepTakac@pahouse.net.
