‘Christmas in Clare’ showcases a variety of holiday activities in the Clare County area.
These events were held throughout the day on December 9th.
In County Clare, a holiday craft show is being held at the Clare Union Railway Depot, giving guests the chance to visit Santa Claus and feed Santa’s reindeer. Attendees were also able to ride horse-drawn carriages from the depot and enjoy donuts, hot chocolate and coffee from Cops & Donuts inside the depot.
In Farwell, attendees can enjoy a Christmas party, visit from Santa, Cry Baby Burger Contest with Patty Wagon, horse-drawn carriage rides, Farwell Light Parade and tree at 3 p.m. at the Village Market, 124 W. Illinois St. is completed. Village park lighting.
At Lake, attendees were able to enjoy a tree lighting ceremony, visit with Santa, hot chocolate and cookies, and carols at the Lake Depot & Pavilion, located at 7844 Mystic Lake Drive. The coat giveaway was held Saturday from noon to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 2 p.m.
