This free, family-friendly event hosted by the St. Augustine Beach Police Department (SABPD) features arts and crafts, photos with Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus, Christmas movies with popcorn, face painting, fire truck merchandise, and more. It will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. St. Augustine Beach Police Department, 2300 A1A South St. Augustine.
According to the SABPD’s website, the purpose of Christmas with Cops and Claus is to promote police-community relations while presenting a positive image of the SABPD to children, making Santa Claus a safe and welcoming place for visiting families and children. The aim is to provide a friendly environment.

St. Augustine’s Silver Creek Community Wreath Festival Silent Auction
The Festival of Wreaths will feature custom decorated wreaths donated by local businesses and people in the neighborhood to benefit the St. John’s Council on Aging. The silent auction will include refreshments and will be held at 165 Silver Lane from 4 to 6 p.m. Since 1973, the Council on Aging has served St. Augustine’s seniors, their families, and caregivers.
Friday, December 15th
St. Augustine Amphitheater Movie Night
Friends of St. Augustine Amphitheater (FOSAA) fairy movie night. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. The movie begins at 7 p.m. Santa Claus will give away a free Her T-shirt to the first 300 children. We provide free hot chocolate and popcorn. You are asked to bring non-perishable food items to donate to local food banks serving those in need. The event is in line with his FOSAA mission to “make St. Augustine Amphitheater available to the community,” as stated in a recent press release. The event is free and open to the public.
St. Augustine Ballet’s 15th Annual Nutcracker
Composed by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky in 1892, this work is an adaptation of ETA Hoffmann’s short story The Nutcracker and the Mouse King, written in 1816, and features Clara, the Nutcracker Prince, and the Mouse. Popular characters such as the King, the Sugar Plum Fairy, and Uncle Drosselmeyer will appear. . The story follows young Clara visiting the land of sweets on Christmas Eve.
St. Augustine Ballet & Conservatory’s production of the two-act classical ballet spotlights members of professional dance ensembles, including the Philadelphia Ballet, as well as local dancers and 55 local dance students.
Four performances will be held Dec. 15-17 at Flagler College’s Lewis Auditorium in historic downtown.
“We are thrilled to bring The Nutcracker back to the community during St. Augustine’s popular Night of Lights event,” said Louis Abella, Founder and Executive Director of St. Augustine Ballet. I’m excited,” he said.

2023 Wreath Day Across America St. Augustine National Cemetery
Americans will place nearly 3 million Christmas wreaths at 3,700 cemeteries in Virginia, as well as at sea and abroad, for National Wreath Day. Military men and women from the Revolutionary War to the present day will be recognized for their sacrifices in the name of American freedom.
Riders from the American Legion of St. Augustine Post 37, accompanied by mounted sheriffs, will escort the St. Augustine Christmas Wreaths across the United States as they travel south on Interstate 95 to reach St. Augustine by 10 a.m. Arrive at the National Cemetery. Volunteers are asked to arrive at St. Augustine National Cemetery by 10 a.m. to unload trucks and help unbox wreaths.
Bill Dudley will be the master of ceremonies for the ceremony, which begins at noon. This is immediately followed by the placement of the wreath.
Vilano Beach Village Christmas Market
The Vilano Holiday Village Christmas Market on Main Street in Vilano will be held from 4pm to 8pm, with Jeremy Weinglass performing live on the patio of the Holiday Inn Express.

Apex Theater Studio Presents “It’s a Wonderful Life”
The American holiday classic “It’s A Wonderful Life” will be performed as a live radio play by Apex Theater Studio on the Backyard Stage in St. Augustine. In a recent press release, Apex director Ian Mears described the 75-year-old classic as a way to bring families together and take them back in time.
