Bike run & 5K
Drivers are advised of the following events in Wilmington this weekend that may result in minor traffic disruptions.
- Beau Biden Foundation 2023 Child Protection Candidacy at Rockford Park Sunday, November 12th, 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. We would like to inform motorists that police will be conducting intermittent traffic control around the park during the race.
- Blue Knights Delaware Toy Run pass through the city Sunday, November 12thafter starting at the Millcreek Fire Station at 11 a.m., the police-escorted ride will pass through Wilmington around 12 p.m., ending at the Salvation Army Thrift Store at 610 South Walnut Street.
The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) is reminding Wilmington drivers of the following ramp closures this weekend (weather permitting):
- of Ramp from southbound Route 202 to southbound I-95 It will be closed again from 8pm on Friday 10th November until 5am on Monday 13th November due to drainage works. Detour information will be posted and motorists are advised to use caution and expect some delays in the area.
DelDOT is also advising motorists that North Union Street will be closed between Delaware Avenue and 14th Street.th Paving and resurfacing of roads will begin on Tuesday, November 14th and will continue until Friday, November 17th. Work will take place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and on-street parking will be prohibited from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. pm Operations are weather dependent, so motorists should use caution and expect some delays in the area.
Finally, DelDOT announced intermittent lane closures starting at 8 a.m., weather permitting.th Starting Monday, Nov. 13, King Street in downtown will be paved from 7 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. weekdays.
