In a video circulating on social, the TikTok star can be seen wearing the classic Walmart uniform, wearing her own name tag, and posing for photos and videos scanning popcorn brands.

Since the clip was uploaded, she has faced significant backlash with hundreds of comments accusing D’Amelio of “pretending” to work as a store employee.
The top comment, which read, “I feel like this is making fun of working class jobs, but it’s okay,” received more than 13,000 likes.

Similar comments poured in, including, “Why do rich people enjoy cosplaying poor people?” and “She’s making fun of the jobs of real people with low incomes… Bravo!”
