Carrera Senior Center holds painting classes and other events

Carrera ā Calera residents ages 55 and older have multiple events to look forward to this month. The first opportunity is for local seniors and art enthusiasts to attend a painting class on Monday, November 6th.
The class will be held at the Carrera Senior Center, 15863 Highway 25, and will begin at 10 a.m. and run for approximately one hour.
“Whether you’re an accomplished painter or a complete beginner, this class is perfect for all skill levels,” reads an official release from Carrera Senior Center. “Receive expert guidance from talented artists who will guide you through the process of creating your own masterpiece.”
The cost to attend the event is $15 per person, which includes the cost of the canvas provided to class participants at the start of the event.

In addition, the Carrera Senior Center will host two game days on Monday, Nov. 13 and Monday, Nov. 20. The all-day event is an opportunity for a visitor to invite friends, neighbors, and fellow seniors to join him in his day filled with laughter. , friendly competition and friendship.
Game days include activities such as card games, puzzles, cornhole and darts, giving participants a great opportunity to socialize and stay active.
