Holy Days is a month-long festival of fun for the whole family hosted by various Westmont organizations and public institutions. The highlight of the season is the Frosty & Friends Parade in downtown Westmont on Saturday, Dec. 2, followed by a tree lighting ceremony and photo op with Santa. Holly Days Frosty & Friends Parade, Tree Lighting, Photo with Santa
December 2nd – 4:30pm

Check out the annual Holy Days Frosty & Friends Parade, Tree Lighting Ceremony, and Santa Photo Booth. At 4:30 p.m., hear the Westmont High School Choir perform holiday music repertoire. Then the Holy Days Parade begins at 5 p.m. The parade route begins at Naperville Road, heads south on Cass Avenue, crosses the railroad tracks and heads west on Quincy Street. Immediately after the parade, everyone is invited to help Santa with the tree lighting countdown at Addington Plaza on West Quincy Street. Afterwards, you can stop by the Westmont Station and take a free photo with Santa, Mrs. Claus, and your friends.

Sign up in the Westmont Park District by December 1st
Parents are welcome to stop by the Westmont Park District Community Center at 75 East Richmond and fill out the form for a call from Santa. Santa will be calling on Tuesday, Dec. 5 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Santa she must submit all forms by Friday, December 1st.

Veterans Memorial Park – 75 E. Richmond Street
Check out the outdoor activities at Snow Much Fun. Take selfies on Santa’s sleigh and giant snow globe, try out the children’s inflatable slide (official fee), and ride around the park in a mule-drawn wagon to check out all of his holiday decorations. You can Visit the Greg House Museum and help make s’mores, then visit Santa.

Stop by and make a couple of bird-friendly tree ornaments. One for yourself and one for the library’s community tree.
WHS Band Booster Craft Show
December 2 – 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Westmont High School – 909 Oakwood Drive
Shoppers will find nearly 200 crafters and artists offering something for everyone. The event will also include a raffle and a live performance by students from the brass band club. Admission and parking for the event is free. Donations to support our band are always welcome.

Create a whimsical paper wreath perfect for winter. This event is aimed at children in kindergarten through second grade.

Create a unique winter wreath that will add a frosty touch to your door. This event is for 3rd through 5th graders.

Westmont Park District – 55 E. Richmond St.
Santa has a lot of presents to deliver so he needs your help. Come to this Holy Days event and become Santa’s official elf! Applicants will take a series of fun elf tests to see if they can win their own elf hat. If you’re accepted, you’ll win an elf hat and get a photo taken with Santa in his sleigh. Registration fee is $20 for residents and $25 for non-residents.

Sign up online by December 8th
Sign up for Santa’s Sleigh Visit and have Santa stop by your home to deliver presents to your children. Santa’s sleigh visit is scheduled from her December 11th to her December 15th. Registration fee is $40. Learn more about the program and register online at westmontparks.org.
