MONKS CORNER, S.C. (WCSC) – The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office has a new smartphone app that allows residents to communicate with the sheriff.
Sheriff Duane Lewis said the custom app serves as an innovative way for the Sheriff’s Office to connect with Berkeley County residents and visitors, providing information quickly and efficiently to anyone with a smartphone. He said he could.
“To be transparent with the community, we are always researching the latest trends,” Lewis said. “This smartphone app is user-friendly and features several resources readily available to residents. We encourage the public to download it to connect with us.”
The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office has developed a new app in collaboration with TheSheriffApp.com, an OCV brand.
“More than 80% of people in the U.S. own a smartphone and use it as their primary means of communication,” said Kevin Cummings, OCV Partner and Chief Revenue Officer. “Mobile apps give government agencies a better way to alert, inform, and prepare the public. Apps allow public safety agencies
The ability to reach and provide services to citizens on their smartphones, no matter where they are. ”
Lawmakers say the new app provides quick access to items of public interest and is easy to use.
