Chicago – Despite the rainy weather, Chicago is full of exciting events this weekend.

The Joffrey Ballet’s Nutcracker:
Starting Saturday, the Joffrey Ballet brings its enchanting production of The Nutcracker to the Civic Opera House. Lyric His Opera With music performed by his orchestra and choreography by Christopher Wheeldon, this Chicago-inspired production promises a magical experience. The performance runs until the 27th.
Holiday songs at Millennium Park:
Get in the holiday spirit every Friday this month at Wrigley Square at Millennium Park. Local choirs, including one from Northeastern Illinois University this week, will lead guests and families in festive songs.
Morton Arboretum Holiday Light Show:
Celebrate the 11th year of the annual Holiday Light Show at Morton Arboretum. He takes a mile-long stroll through a dazzling light display while listening to live music. The show runs through January 6th, with tickets starting at $24.
Winterland at Peninsula Sky Link and Gallagher Way:
Peninsula Sky Rink returns to the Peninsula Chicago Hotel Terrace for its 11th season. Open until New Year’s Eve. This weekend, head to Winterland on Gallagher Way in Wrigleyville. Admission is free except for the Wrigley Field portion.
Chicago Botanical Garden Lightscape Show:
For its fifth year, the highly anticipated Lightscape Show returns to the Chicago Botanical Garden and runs through January 7th.
