Organizers of the city’s second annual Downtown Trick-or-Treat event are moving it to Sunday because of the threat of rain again on Saturday.
“It doesn’t look like it’s going to rain Saturday, and we want to make this event worthwhile for everyone,” said Kaylin Lockyer, the city’s community engagement manager.
The event will be held Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. Start at Khadi Court where you will be provided with a map of participating businesses.
Participants can also pick up merchandise from local community resources, participate in a costume contest, and then continue trick-or-treating in the downtown area.
In addition to handing out candy, businesses will be competing to see which stores have the most beautifully decorated storefronts, so participants are encouraged to keep an eye on their favorite stores.
The Attleboro Norton YMCA is celebrating Halloween with a free, open-to-all trunk-or-treat event on Friday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Norton Outdoor Center, 295 West Main Street (Route 123) in the town. Masu.

The trunk-or-treat event is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 27 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Goldfish North Attleboro, 1360 South Washington St., Unit 1-A. Volunteers are still needed to host vehicles at the first-ever event.
“This is a fun way for community partners to connect with each other and families within the community,” organizers said.
Hosting a trunk requires volunteers and groups to provide rides and decorations for the children.
