Apple said it is testing a new feature in the App Store called conditional pricing to steer customers toward cheaper subscriptions based on their other purchases. This conditional pricing model allows developers to offer discounts to customers who already have subscriptions to other services, whether it’s their own apps or those of connected partners.
according to 9to5 mac, Apple says these bundle discounts will be more visible to customers both in the App Store and “off-platform marketing channels,” and elsewhere as well. It will initially start with a select group of participants and will be rolled out to more developers “in the coming months.”
It’s been a year of increased scrutiny of Apple’s App Store and how it handles in-app purchases. Just this fall, Apple asked the Supreme Court to overturn a previous ruling that required it to avoid Apple’s 30% transaction fee and allow developers to use external payment systems. This is, in a way, a way to get back into the developer’s good graces.

From a 150kWh battery.
Chinese manufacturer Nio is about to start selling EVs equipped with 150kWh “semi-solid” batteries (140kWh usable). This is the largest battery ever in a passenger EV. Nio CEO William Li drove a prototype version of the ET7 1,044km (650 miles) in his 14 hours. This is more distance than many gasoline-powered cars. His 150kWh battery in the ET7 is only available under a separate lease agreement from the car, similar to some cars sold in Europe. However, it’s unlikely you’ll see this particular battery pack in the US. Under the Biden administration’s latest rules, some U.S. cars, including Tesla’s Model 3 Long Range, that use certain Chinese-made battery parts will no longer receive the full $7,500 tax credit.
