SILVER CREEK – The Anderson Lee Library, located at 43 Main Street, has announced its December programs. The program is free and open to the public.
To ensure sufficient seating and materials for all patrons participating in the program, registration is required unless otherwise noted. To register for the program, call the library at 716-934-3468, stop by 43 Main St., message us on Facebook, or visit www.andersonleelibrary.org and click the Events tab. The library will be closed on Saturday, December 23rd and Monday, December 25th due to the Christmas holiday.
Chess Club: All skill levels are welcome to join our Chess Club. He will meet Friday from 2pm until 3pm. The target age is 10 years old and above, and registration is not required.
Secret Society of Twisted Stitchers Friday noon – 2pm This club is for everyone who loves handiwork. We welcome ages 10 and up and all skill levels. Please bring your own supplies. Just getting started? For knitting, get size 10/10.5 bamboo needles and light colored worsted yarn (#4). For crochet, get a size H hook and light colored worsted yarn (#4).
Registration is not required. You don’t have to commit to attending every week.
On Thursdays, December 7th and 14th, from 10:30 a.m., preschool storytimes will be held with Miss Jill for children ages 2 to 5. Children will participate in storytimes, songs, nursery rhymes, and fun crafts. Capacity is 10 people and advance registration is required.
School Age Storytime for children ages 6-12 will be held with Miss Amy on Thursdays, December 7th and 14th at 10:30am. Stories, crafts, games, and other activities will be provided. Capacity is 10 people and advance registration is required.
Lego Club for ages 5 to 12, Thursday, Dec. 7, 6:30 p.m. Build your challenge for the day and choose a challenge card or free build. Your choice! Capacity is 10 people and advance registration is required.
Adult Storytime, Tuesday, December 12th, 6pm Yes, that’s a thing! All adults 18 years and older are welcome to join us for Storytime.we read books “Mr. Morris Lessmore’s Flying Book”, the Academy Award-winning short film of the same name, written by William Joyce. We also have tea and cookies! So stop by and enjoy some bedtime stories this busy holiday season!
Winter Solstice Festival, Saturday, December 16th, 10:30am. Hear about Sunbread, then make your own and take it home to bake.
The Anderson Lee Library is open to the public Monday and Tuesday from noon to 8 p.m., Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday from noon to 5 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Masu.
