On Sunday, thousands of people will gather in Central Park and Jones Beach to participate in the American Cancer Society’s Breast Cancer Awareness event.
Now in its 30th year, the event, hosted by the American Cancer Society, aims to raise money and awareness about breast cancer, how it is detected, and precautions people can take to prevent it.
Pink costumes, ribbons and more abounded as attendees gathered in Manhattan and Nassau County Sunday morning for the annual get-together.
Eyewitness News Meteorologist Dani Beckstrom was one of the thousands in Central Park to interview Jeffrey Molter of NYU Langone Health about the importance of breast cancer research.
