Doha, Qatar, October 13, 2023 – Education Above All Foundation has issued the following statement:
“The More than Education Foundation calls for the protection of all children during the current war (Gaza War).
“A surge in violence, killings, abductions and bombings is already causing deaths and severe injuries to children in Gaza. “Before the current hostilities, 1.1 million children were already in need of humanitarian assistance. Since the start of current hostilities in Gaza, 447 children have been reported killed and 1,531 injured.
“The current siege will disrupt the supply of food, medicine and energy to Gaza, leaving these children starving and starving. Starving civilians as a tactic of war is a war crime.
“Education Above All Foundation calls on all parties to immediately stop acts that cause serious harm to children: killings, abductions, bombings, deliberate deprivation of food and medicine, closing schools and hospitals. Bombing: These acts are grave violations against children and, if intentional, war crimes.”
