A Walmart shopper lashed out at the store clerk after his receipt was checked, but other customers said they were able to walk by without worrying.
Receipt verification has become a bane of many customers’ shopping experiences, with many flatly refusing when employees ask to see it.
Although many believe it does little to prevent theft, others feel they are treated specially by staff.
The TikTok user known as @Lol_Letta has over 15,000 followers on the platform.
When a Walmart employee asked to see her receipt, she aired her frustration.
“When I go to leave, there’s a guy standing there. He’s just looking at me,” she said.
She explained that she already knew the worker wanted her receipt, but he never said anything to her directly.
“I stood there and said, ‘Is there anything you want?'” she said.
At that time, the employee admitted that he wanted to see her receipt, and the woman had no problem with this.
“He looked at it, and then he handed it back to me and I said to him, ‘Now, come on, look at everyone else’s stuff as well as mine, okay?’
“Because I know there’s going to be more people coming, so you have to look at everyone. That’s your job. Don’t just look at me, look at everyone else. ”
She tells viewers: walmartto do the same thing she did.
There were several comments from women, with many saying they didn’t even bother checking their receipts.
“No, they trust me as a cashier without any training and believe I did it right,” one person wrote.
Another wrote: “The reason I don’t stop is because everyone saw me scanning all the groceries and checking the cameras.”
“I refuse and keep walking,” a third person wrote. “And when I went to check out, someone came and stayed there, clock I tell them it feels like they stole something.
“And they say, ‘No, we’re here to help,’ and I say, ‘No, if you came to help, we’ll check it out,’ and they usually walk away. .”
A fourth person wrote: “I would have stood.” Next Contact him and wait to see if he confirms everyone’s stuff. ”
The woman replied, “I see. That must have made him very nervous.”
