On Saturday, Nov. 11, at 11:11 a.m., members of the Corps of Cadet Corps will lay two wreaths at the Memorial Student Center and the Corps Memorial Plaza, which is home to the Spanish-American War Memorial and the World War I Memorial. , a post-World War II monument. After the wreath-laying at the Corps Memorial Square, members of Ross Volunteer Company will fire a rifle volley and the Corps Buglers will play Taps.
“For nearly a century and a half, the Aggie family, many of whom are former cadets, have dedicated themselves to service in our nation’s armed forces. No matter the time or place, Aggie veterans have answered America’s call. It has cemented Texas A&M’s tradition of service to our country,” said Brig. Patrick Michaelis ’93, General, Cadet Corps Commander.
Following the ceremony, 2,200 cadets will march to the Corps’ annual Veterans Review Ceremony to honor our nation’s veterans and the sacrifices they have made to protect our freedoms. Cadets disembark from the quad at 4:30 p.m. and march to Simpson Drill Ground for a screening pass.

The purpose of these two memorial exhibits is to honor America, the American people, and our freedom. It’s about honoring those who served to protect us.
