COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — Saturday is Veterans Day, observed annually on Nov. 11 to honor those who have served or are currently serving in the U.S. military.

Delaware County Fairgrounds Agriculture Center, Saturday 8:30 a.m.
- The 14th Annual Breakfast and Ceremony will feature a presentation on “Making the Ohio Fallen Heroes Memorial.”

- Join the museum to watch a precision performance by the U.S. Air Force Honor Guard Training Team on Thursday in the Presidential Gallery.
- Meet veterans, current and former pilots, crew members, engineers, navigators and more on Saturday’s “Plane Talk.”
11 a.m. Saturday, 300 West Broad St.
- Join the Museum in person or online for our annual Veterans Day celebration with keynote speaker Jay Anderson, U.S. Navy veteran and Chief Operating Officer of The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.
Village Hall Saturday 8:30am
- The celebration will begin with a ceremony that includes a performance of “The Star-Spangled Banner” by the New Albany High School marching band and remarks from New Albany Mayor and Army veteran Sloan Spalding.
- Construction continues on the new Veterans Memorial. The monument will include a hero’s promenade, plaza and water facilities.
Village Green Park, Friday 11 a.m.
- The program will include remarks from Mayor Dan Swartout and guest speaker City Councilman John C. Bennehoof. All veterans in attendance will receive a pin designed and made by Olentangy Liberty Middle School students.
Tuesday’s Renaissance Columbus Westerville Polaris Hotel at 8:30 a.m. and Westerville Veterans Memorial at 10:30 a.m.
- Local veterans can attend a pancake breakfast starting at 8:30 a.m., followed by a presentation, followed by a Veterans Day wreath-laying ceremony at 10:30 a.m.
- Parade organizers from the Military and Veterans Education Foundation announced that the 2023 Columbus Veterans Day Parade has been canceled due to low participation and corporate donors.
- The annual cannon shooting at the Ohio State Capitol was also canceled.
