Missouri State University’s Department of Arts, Languages, and Philosophy will present its second Wind Symphony Concert of the season this November.
Performances begin Friday, Nov. 10 at 7 p.m. in the Leach Theater in Castleman Hall on the Missouri University of Science and Technology campus at the corner of 10th Avenue and Main Street in Rolla. “The Wind Symphony” is directed by Dr. David Samson, assistant professor of music in the College of Science and Technology. Student-led film music ensembles and game music ensembles will also perform.
The film music ensemble will perform music from “Stranger Things,” “The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Rings” and “Wicked,” while the video game music ensemble will perform music from “Destiny 2” and “Skyrim.” , and Super Smash Bros. Wind Symphony’s program includes Karl Strohmen’s “Kivgik,” Jason K. Nitsch’s “All the Pretty Little Horses,” and Gustav Holst’s “First Suite in E-Flat.” ”, Robert W.’s “American Flourish” and “Encanto”. .Smith.

Tickets are $5 for the general public and free for youth 18 and under and Missouri Tech University students with valid ID.
