BEMIDJI — The Sanford Center will host several holiday-themed events starting Nov. 19 at 1111 Event Center Drive NE.
The festival begins at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 19 at Cirque Musica Holiday Wonderland in the Sanford Center Arena. The performance combines the surprise elements of a traditional cirque show with holiday music favorites, according to a release.
Starting at noon on Friday, November 24, the Jack Frost Jubilee will feature treats and friendly competition. This free event for the community takes place before the Night We Light Parade.
Participants can decorate cookies and participate in the Holiday Window Painting Contest and Business Gingerbread House Contest. The pageant will be judged by a panel of Miss Minnesota contestants, and winners in each category will receive tickets to future shows and other fun prizes, according to the release.
On Dec. 8 and 9 at 7 p.m., attendees can enjoy dinner and a Christmas-themed show at Tim Shelton’s Very Vintage Christmas Dinner. The dinner buffet will be prepared by the Sanford Center’s executive chef, and the show will feature a medley of classic Christmas music. The entry fee is $50 per plate or $500 per table.
On Saturday, Dec. 9, at 10 a.m., the center will host Breakfast with Santa in the Lakeview Room. This event includes a breakfast buffet and a photographer to take pictures with Santa Claus. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the door.
