Lindberg and teammate Kevin Olmedo (So., La Cañada, Calif./St. Francis HS) completed the 50-yard freestyle at nearly the same time, with Lindberg winning in 22.90 seconds and Olmedo second in 22.91 seconds. Ben Thompson of Pacific Lutheran Church took third place with a time of 23.44 seconds.
In the 100-yard Batalfi, Lindberg posted a winning time of 53.01 seconds. PLU’s Dylan Dunn took second with a time of 54.52 seconds, and Lindberg won by 1.51 seconds.

Olmedo, Ash Keel (S.O., Carson City, Nev./Carson City HS) and Logan Copeland (Sr., Sparks, Nev./Spanish Springs HS) each placed second in one event. Olmedo placed second for WU in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 50.10 seconds. PLU’s Hosk Amgaran won the 100 freestyle in 49.17 seconds. Cale took second in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:44.02, and Copeland took second in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:06.29.
Willamette placed second in both men’s relays. In the 200-yard medley relay, the Roots team of Amgaran, Tanka, Dunn and Devin Stanley ran a winning time of 1:40.40, while the WU top team ran a time of 1:43.28. The Bearcats’ athletes in the medley relay were William Laduca (Salem, Ore./South Salem High School), Copeland, Lindbergh and Olmedo.
Pacific Lutheran won the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1 minute, 30.27 seconds behind Amgaran, Dunn, Ben Thompson and Stanley.
