Brooklyn, Ohio
Warrant, Brookpark Road: On October 17, a Walmart loss prevention officer witnessed a customer stealing items from the Brookpark Road store and called police.
Arriving officers spoke with the caller, who stated that the suspect had stolen items valued at nearly $595.
Officers located Cleveland and discovered that he not only had a warrant, but was also in possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia.
The Cleveland man was arrested and held for transportation. He was also charged with drug abuse, theft and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Trespassing, Memphis Avenue: On October 13, a resident of Brookside Drive called police to report a suspicious man breaking into a parked vehicle.
There are no suspects. Police are investigating.
Theft, Tiedemann Street: On Oct. 14, a Cleveland man called police after discovering someone had not only broken into his locker at the Tiedeman Road gym but also taken his gym bag. There are no suspects.
Police are investigating.
Identity Theft, Traymore Avenue: On October 16th, a resident of Traymore Street went to the police station after discovering that someone had opened a fraudulent Illuminating Company account in his name.
There are no suspects. Police are investigating.
Shoplifting, Cascade Crossing: On Oct. 16, police were called to a report of shoplifting at a gas station and store in Cascade Crossing.
Arriving officers spoke with the caller who stated that two suspects had stolen items valued at $13.98.
Officers later located the thieves on Tiedeman Street. A thief from Parma has been arrested on suspicion of theft.
Catalytic Converter Bruce, Memphis Avenue: On October 14th, residents of Parkview Estates noticed something unusual about their Mitsubishi car being extremely loud.
A man discovered someone had stolen his car’s catalytic converter overnight. There are no suspects.
Police are investigating.
