Olivenhain Fire Safety Council meeting offering safety tips
Are you concerned about the risk of wildfires in Olivenhain? Would you like to learn more about how to make you, your family and your neighbors safer?
If so, please join us at the Olivenhain Fire Safety Council on Monday, November 6th at 7:30pm in the Olivenhain Conference Hall. There will be a meeting with the neighborhood ambassador and his introduction to Firewise USA.
Firewise USA certification, a program of the National Fire Protection Association, was one of the recommendations in the Fitch evacuation report, and Chief Josh Gordon included it in a recent presentation to the City Council. Some insurance companies consider Firewise’s certification when determining underwriting, premiums, and whether to continue insuring members of their community.
Additionally, more Neighborhood Ambassadors are always needed, and they will be key participants in Firewise USA’s efforts to seek recognition. You can also learn more about the Ambassador Program at the meeting. In addition to great deals, the event will also feature snacks (desserts) and door prizes.
