AMHERST, Mass. (WWLP) – It’s Homecoming Week at the University of Massachusetts, and there are a number of events planned for the next few days on campus.
It’s the weekend when graduates return to Amherst to celebrate, and there are plenty of events planned, from art exhibits to sporting events. Umas Amherst’s homecoming week begins Wednesday and runs through Sunday.
The weekend will culminate Friday night when the Massachusetts hockey team hosts Northeastern and Saturday when the Minutemen take on Merrimack in the homecoming football game.
It’s not just sporting events. We’ll also be introducing some other events this week.
- On Friday night, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, we will be holding a Homecoming Fest in the Student Union.
- Massachusetts Minutemen Marching Band celebrates 150th anniversary during halftime of football game
- Western Massachusetts Health Workforce Summit, Thursday 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
The University of Massachusetts recommends that if you plan on coming to campus this weekend, leave early as you can expect some traffic.
