COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) – Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) will be celebrated this week across central Ohio with events and art installations rooted in the traditions of the holiday.
Día de los Muertos, which dates back to the Aztecs some 3,000 years ago, is a Mexican holiday to remember loved ones who have passed away. The festival begins each year on November 1st, when families “welcome” the souls of their loved ones with food, drink, art, and celebration.

Dos Hermanos in Easton Wednesdays from 7 to 10 p.m.
- Come dressed in your finest gala attire for a ‘night to remember’ and enjoy Day of the Dead traditions and a four-course dinner created by the Dos Hermanos team.
Fifth Element Tattoo Gallery, Wednesdays 5-10 p.m.
- A celebration of life and death. It will feature food, music, spoken word, fire rituals, community rituals, dedications, offerings, and photography. All ages are welcome. No cover. We are accepting donations.
