Beyond beaches and nightlife, Miami is steadily gaining a reputation as a foodie destination. While many look forward to his much-talked about March South Beach Wine and Food Festival, other lesser-known food events highlight the region’s top cuisine. I am. Taste of SLS
Now in its fifth year, Taste of SLS will take place on November 4 at SLS Brickell, 1300 South Miami Avenue, and promises an immersive food and drink experience from 8 to 10 p.m. There will be an after party until late. This food extravaganza showcases the best of the SLS family, including Michelin-starred restaurants such as El Cielo, as well as Philia, Chloe, Katsuya and Skybar. A special “Best of Miami” section features restaurants like Stubborn Seed and Leku. Providing the evening’s entertainment will be a performance by award-winning artist Questlove. Miami New Times Tacolandia
What’s better than tacos? A three-hour food festival celebrating the taco. Held in the Regatta Harbor hangar from 3pm to 6pm, fans can sample tacos (and drinks) from more than 20 vendors. With popular menu items like pink tacos (don’t miss his OG pink taco with shredded chicken, jack cheese, pickled red onions, and avocado fried in a hot pink corn tortilla), taquiza, and bar taco, there’s plenty of fun to be had. Heritage Fuego
This epic open-fire cookoff, presented by Goya, lasts three hours at the Biltmore Hotel and features over 20 local chefs (think Carlos Garcia of Lek, Josh Elliott of QT Tapas, and Rick Mace of Tropical Smokehouse please). At each stop, guests can enjoy flame-cooked food, beverage pairings, and live entertainment. The feast concludes with the coronation of a Heritage Hero as voted on by the crowd. A difficult decision for the best appetizing dish. Swank Specialty Produce is a Palm Beach hydroponic farm started in 1996 by Darrin and Jody Swank. Our organic lettuce, herbs and wildflowers have earned us a reputation among South Florida chefs. Starting November 12th, we will host 10 outdoor dinners (held on Sundays) and invite local chefs to participate in themed dinners including bourbon, barbecue, blues, throwbacks to the ’70s, and cannabis-infused cuisine. A portion of the proceeds will be donated. to a local charity. Tickets are available for $180 per person. Adults 21 years and older.

Viniesta wine and food
After successful launches in Spain in 2021 and New York last year, Viniesta Food & Wine is headed to Miami, offering evenings of Spanish wine, tapas, and live music. Whether you’re a wine lover or a fan of Spanish culture, attendees can sample his 200+ wines, interact with the winemaker, and enjoy snacks available for purchase at Flower & Weirdoes and Esquinita Spanish Cuisine. The event will celebrate his 10th anniversary of Selection de la Vigna and will feature a special portfolio tasting from 2pm to 5pm. Tickets are $45 per person and can be purchased here.
