Bing Crosby’s 10th season in Del Mar will be an eventful “fall for all.”
Horse racing fans can commemorate this day in a variety of ways, from toasting at traditional fall events to cheering on the thoroughbreds as they race down the homestretch.
“We are definitely expecting a full field and top-notch racing, and we have plenty of events for (everyone) to enjoy,” said Chris Bahr, Del Mar’s director of events and promotions.
Competition will resume at Seaside Oval on November 10th, with 15 stakes races scheduled over the course of the event, which concludes on December 3rd.
“Coming right after the Breeders’ Cup (World Championship) at Santa Anita, (the fall meet) is well positioned to continue the positive horse racing trend in Southern California,” Del Mar Vice President and Racing Secretary said David Jerkens. “Our Turf Festival, which begins on Thanksgiving Day and runs until closing, offers eight turf stakes and has traditionally attracted big-name horses from across the country, and this year will be no different. is expected.”

Once again, the racetrack will be posting a special race card on Thanksgiving Day (Nov. 23), with the first posting at 11 a.m. The featured race is the Grade III, $100,000 Red Carpet Stakes for 3-year-old fillies and mares. 1 3/8 miles on grass.
