LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Bellarmine University swimming took first place out of 10 events Saturday in a dual against St. Louis at the Mary T. Meagher Aquatic Center.
junior john paul metzner The freshmen won the gold medal in the 50 freestyle (21.65), finishing in a tie. colin jackson Earned top honors in the 100 freestyle (47.81 points). 2nd grade Sam Jones He was the first to touch the wall in the 1000m freestyle (9:48.17), as was the freshman student. evan dixon Won the 200 degree freestyle (1:43.38).
Senior kenton whiteley 1st place in 200IM (1:58.01), sophomore cason henderson He also had a strong performance in the 200 butterfly (1:54.62), and the junior did the same. brandon thomas She won the 200m breaststroke (2:11.29).
2nd grade blake whiteleySenior Andrew NguyenMetzner and Jackson took first place in the 400-meter medley relay (3:30.77).
junior alexandra pierce She won gold medals in two women’s events, the 200 IM (2:10.54) and the 200 breaststroke (2:24.05).new student charlotte tally In the former, he was runner-up in the 200 backstroke.

The Bellarmine boys won 120-85 and the St. Louis girls won 140-62.
Bellarmine will compete in the Southern Illinois Invitational Nov. 9-11.
