These days, it’s not uncommon for expensive new smartphones and tablets to score little discounts and giveaways right off the bat, but major retailers in the U.S. tend to be far less generous when it comes to headphones, especially high-end headphones.
So you can imagine our surprise when we opened Walmart’s website today and found that the over-ear Bose QuietComfort Ultra was priced at just $269.44 in black. Note that the “White Smoke” flavor is still priced at $429. This only further emphasizes the incredible appeal of the shocking early price drop of $159.56.
And if money is too low, you can’t help but buy these bad guys for yourself or a loved one ahead of your next vacation. Just don’t expect Walmart’s insane (and somewhat random) promotions to last long.
After all, the aforementioned noise-canceling Bose 700s were originally priced at $399 per pair, but it took almost two years (!!!) for them to drop below $300, and just recently It dropped to $269, then $259. That’s right, this one apparently features the featured new spatial audio, with up to 24 hours of battery life, state-of-the-art CustomTune technology for personalized sound, and of course Bose’s quintessential “world” A very unusual discount for a beast on board. It promises “-class” noise cancellation and has almost always proven to be accurate in real-world environments and use cases.
