In an update on Friday, October 27, 2023, the Town of Thomaston announced schedule changes for some of the activities planned for this year’s Thomaston Fall Festival.
This weekend’s Haunted Trail has been canceled.
The Spooky Softball Tournament will proceed as scheduled with law enforcement and EMS in attendance.
Sunday’s event has been rescheduled to Saturday, November 5th

THOMASTON — The Thomaston Fall Festival will celebrate the season on Friday, Oct. 27, Saturday, Oct. 28, and Sunday, Oct. 29.
It all starts at the New Leaf Construction-sponsored Haunted Trail in the woods behind Thomaston Grammar School. The location will be open from 7 to 11 p.m. Tickets will be sold on-site for $15.
The Spooky Softball tournament, sponsored by R&D Trash Removal, will be held at 8 a.m. Saturday at the Thomaston Little League Field. Costumes are required and the best team costume will receive a shield and the softball champion will receive a 6-foot trophy. We serve fresh Maine lobster rolls all day long.
A kids pumpkin carving contest hosted by Bull Run Farm will be held at Thomaston City Hall at 12 p.m.
Haunted Trail reopens from 7 to 11 p.m.
Sunday’s event will be held at Thomaston City Hall from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. More than 20 local vendors will be selling their wares. Vertical Entertainment will bring inflatables, games, dunk tanks, a 140-foot obstacle course, rock walls, bungee jumps, cotton candy and more for kids. The chili cook-off is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The pie eating contest, sponsored by Hot Hill Tavern, will be held from 2:30 p.m. His live band is PHOG. Free hayrides are also offered most days.
“The Thomaston Recreation Department is very excited to bring this great event to Thomaston and we look forward to continuing to host more community-focused events in the future,” said Recreation Director. Jared Porter said in a news release.
Funds raised will go towards future projects such as a new playground and ice skating rink.
“None of this would be possible without the dedication of the Thomaston Fall Festival Committee and the tireless work they put in to make this event a success,” Porter said.
