Family pottery class “Handmade turkey” Friday, Nov. 3, 1:30-3:00 p.m.: Dancing Spirit Community Arts Center will be offering two family pottery classes in the library this holiday season. The November class will be making turkey figurines. Registration is required as space is limited. Upon registration he pays a class fee of $5 per person.

STEAM Power Hour (Grades 3-5): Monday, 4-5 p.m.
Junior STEAM Power Hour (Kindergarten to 2nd grade): Wednesday, 4-5 p.m.

Teen free play: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4 to 5 p.m. Tabletop games, PlayStation, Oculus, food, and fun.
Teen Tabletop Club: Tabletop gaming sessions are held on the first Saturday of each month from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Magic, D&D, Cthulhu, etc.

Full Body Fit Class: Monday-Thursday, 8:15-8:50 a.m. Use your own body weight or light hand weights to work out all parts of your body. Free classes are similar in style, but the movements are always different. You will need a yoga mat and light hand weights. If you don’t have it, there are additional items available. Suitable for all ages and fitness levels.
Yoga For All: Tuesdays, 9-10 a.m. and 6-7 p.m. Thursdays, 9-10 a.m.: You will need a yoga mat and water bottle. We recommend using yoga equipment such as blocks, blankets, and straps.
Friends of the Library Shed Book Sale: Tuesdays, 1-3 p.m.: Weekly pop-up book sale.
Open an art studio: Thursdays, 10am-2pm: all mediums. All ages. Work on projects in a group setting.
Community Knitting and Crochet Group: Sundays, 2-4 p.m.: Everyone is welcome. Whether you’ve been knitting or crocheting for years or just want to learn.
Adult programs
November 1st 10am: The library opening will be delayed due to the monthly staff meeting.
November 2nd 6pm: Livestream of the Colorado Sun’s “Medicare Choices” program: The library will stream this informative session in its community room.
November 3rd from 4:00pm to 5:30pm: Mahjong Meetup: Mahjong is a tile-based tabletop game developed in China in the 19th century. Like the Western card game rummy, mahjong is a game of skill, strategy, and luck. It’s fun to play and, like dominoes, relatively easy to learn. Everyone is welcome.
November 6th, 6pm to 8pm: Typesetting Writers Group: Each month, group members bring in articles for discussion. Participants may bring their own two pages of her own writing to read aloud, but this is not required. If you would like to read your own writing, please bring it in manuscript format.
November 8th, 2:00pm to 3:30pm: BookMarks Book Club: Open to all adults in the Pine River Valley. The library provides books, discussion leaders, and a gathering space each month. Stop by the front desk and check out this month’s title, “Apples Never Fall” by Liane Moriarty.
November 10th: The library is closed for Veterans Day.
November 14th, 10am-11am: Make a Card at Pine River Senior Center: Join us at the Pine River Senior Center on the second Tuesday of every month to make two beautiful handmade cards. free.
November 14th, 1pm to 2:30pm: Death Café: A time and place where people come to share food, drink tea or coffee, and discuss death openly and honestly. Its aim is to raise awareness about death so that people can make the most of their (finite) lives.
November 15th, noon-1pm: Cookbook Club: Meets at noon on the third Wednesday of each month to share recipes from a cookbook, chef, or cuisine of your choice in a potluck. In November, we will create a Mexican recipe from a cookbook of our own choosing. Check out one of the many Mexican cookbooks on display in the library. November 15th 6pm: 2024 Library Budget Draft Public Hearing: The Pine River Library Board will present its 2024 draft budget and invite comments from the public and, depending on the outcome of the election, the possibility of limiting inflationary property taxes. Meetings will be held in the community room. A copy of the budget proposal is available at the library or on his website at www.prlibrary.org/library-budget.

November 30th, 6pm to 8pm: Decorating a Wreath: A class taught by local artist and florist Cindy Shelton. Students will receive an 18-inch faux wreath and will have access to ribbons, ornaments, and accents selected by Shelton. We will share tips and techniques for making wreaths without hot glue, but students are welcome to bring their own glue gun. All materials are provided. Materials cost $15 and pre-registration and pre-payment required. Stop by the library or call 884-2222, ext. 522, register.

Repair Cafe: Thursday, November 2nd, 6pm: Neighborhood efforts to encourage repairs instead of throwing things away. Bring in your broken item and have it repaired on the spot with the help of our volunteer repairmen.
Murder Mystery Game: Sunday, November 5th at noon: A murder occurred in the library. But who is the murderer? Lunch at noon, followed by a live-action mystery game. Free program, no signup required.

powerhouse pass program, Sunnyside Library and Fort Lewis Mesa Library have a Powerhouse Pass that you can check out at each library. This pass gives you and your immediate family free admission to the Powerhouse Science Center. The pass can be checked out for one week with an adult library card.
Check out our state parks program. Fort Lewis Library and Sunnyside Library have “Check Out State Parks” backpacks for you to check out.
