san antonio – Best Buy is recalling about 1 million pressure cookers after reports of people suffering severe burns.
According to a notice from the Consumer Product Safety Commission, the capacity markings on the inner pot of the Insignia pressure cooker are incorrect. People unknowingly overfill the pot, and if the pressure cooker is vented with a quick-release method or opened while the contents are pressurized, hot food or liquid can spill out of the pot. There is a gender.
There were 31 reports of such incidents, 17 of which involved reports of burns, including severe second-degree burns.
This recall includes Insignia multifunction pressure cookers with model numbers NS-MC60SS8, NS-MC60SS9, or NS-MC80SS9. Includes 6-quart and 8-quart models.
A replacement inner pot (model number: NS-MCRP6NS9, NS-MCRP6SS9), sold separately, is also included.
Owners can contact Best Buy to obtain replacement parts.
Baby activity center recalled
More than 115,000 children’s activity centers sold at Walmart will be recalled after reports of children being injured.
Dorell Youth Group has recalled Costco’s Jump, Spin and Play Activity Center.
The strap may come off or break, causing your child to fall and get injured. It was on sale from December 2020 to October 2023.
The model numbers are WA105FZW and WA105GML, and the colors are pink and blue.
A similar model, the WA105HCM (which has an additional black safety strap on one of the bungee straps), is not part of the recall, Dorrell said. A label with the model number is located under the seat.
Owners can contact Dorel for a replacement. Affected consumers may also register their recalled products and begin the recall redress process at www.coscokids.com/registration.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says chopped onions have been linked to salmonella outbreaks that have sickened people in 22 states, including Texas.
More than 73 illnesses were reported, 15 of which resulted in hospitalization.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has issued a warning that certain diced onion products from Gill’s Onion Co. have been linked to an outbreak, and the company has issued a voluntary recall.
Products include Diced Yellow Onions (3 lb bag and 8 oz cup), Diced Celery and Onion (8 oz cup), Diced Mirepoix (10 oz cup), Diced Red Onion (8 oz cup) )It is included.
They were sold to food service organizations, including nursing homes across the country, and to retail stores in the far west of the United States.
The CDC continues to investigate the outbreak.
Symptoms of salmonella infection include diarrhea, fever, and abdominal pain that begins within hours or days of ingesting the bacteria.
