MONROE, La. (KNOE) – The Louisiana Department of Public Health will hold its annual free flu vaccination event in seven parishes over the next month. The parishes included in Caldwell are Caldwell, Jackson, Madison, Morehouse, Ouachita, Richland, and Union.
Drive-thru service will also be available on site.

Jackson Parish Health Department: Wednesday, October 25th, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. 228 Bond St., Jonesboro. For more information, call 318-259-6601.
Union Parish Health Unit: Friday, October 27th, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. 1002 Marion Highway, Farmerville. For more information, call 318-368-3156.
Morehouse Parish Health Unit: Friday, October 27th, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. 650 School Rd., Bastrop. For more information, call 318-283-0806.
Walk-in flu events will be held at the following locations:
Caldwell Parish Health Department: Tuesday, October 31st from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. 501 Collins Road, Columbia. For more information, call 318-649-2393.

Reservations required for influenza events:
Madison Parish Health Department: Tuesday, October 31st, 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. 123 Bailey Street, Tallulah. Call 318-574-3311 to make a reservation.
The flu vaccine is available at no cost to those who have insurance, have Medicaid or Medicare insurance, or are uninsured. There are no out-of-pocket costs, but if the individual has insurance, they will be billed with a valid insurance card.
Additional influenza vaccination events will be held in the region later this fall.
