Prince Frederick, Maryland – The Calvert County Department of Public Works Solid Waste Division will host a free paper shredding event for county residents and businesses. Shredding documents destroys confidential and confidential information and helps prevent identity theft.
The following shred events will be held rain or shine from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
· Saturday, October 21, 2023 at Northern Middle School, 2954 Cheneyville Road, Owings.
· Sunday, November 5, 2023 at the Appeal Landfill, 401 Sweetwater Road, Lusby (this event has been rescheduled from a canceled event in September)
· Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Huntingtown High School, 4125 Solomons Island Road, Huntingtown.
· Saturday, December 16, 2023 at the Appeal Landfill, 401 Sweetwater Road, Lusby.
Proof of residence or business location in Calvert County is required. You can also use paper clips or staples. Binders and binder clips cannot be used.
Businesses are permitted to contain up to five bunker boxes (or the equivalent of five bunker boxes in an alternative container) of paper per business. There are no restrictions on residents. We will issue a certificate of destruction upon request.
