MAYVILLE — Chautauqua Lake’s Homecoming Week was a success this year, leaving unforgettable memories and a strong sense of togetherness within the school community. Homecoming at Chautauqua Lake is full of traditions, including a school-wide theme day, pep rally, dance (9th grade through his 12th grade), and a wonderful parade through Mayville Village.
Spirit Week days include all grades from Kindergarten through 12th grade, and this year they ranged from Jersey Day to Barbie Day. On Friday, the secondary school students finished the day with a pep rally in their class colors, while the elementary students, who are grouped together using a mixed-grade house system, spent time getting to know the people in their houses and their house names. spent.
The theme of this year’s parade is“Decades” Expressing everything from the 1950s to the future!
Superintendent Joshua Riddell said: “For years, we have strived to make it not just a high school celebration, but a celebration that engages elementary school students, families, and the community. This past week, we celebrated the homecoming games of all college teams. The students worked hard to create elaborate floats with the help of family, friends, and teachers. Our parade included seven different floats, including Brockton, Westfield, and Ripley. We are fortunate to have representatives from local fire departments participating. The Chautauqua Lake Homecoming Celebration has a true Americana feel and brings a great sense of pride and togetherness to our school, community, and students.”
