Kalman, Ara. – A Cullman man was arrested Thursday, Oct. 19, after a pursuit that began at Walmart on Olive Street SW and ended at the Alabama Specialty Clinic a short distance away across Cherokee Avenue SW.
Patrick Eugene Phillips, 26, was charged with possession of methamphetamine, being a felon in possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, second-degree unlawful possession of marijuana, attempting to elude a police officer, fourth-degree theft, and resisting arrest. has been charged with a crime. .
Phillips was taken into custody Thursday just after 3:30 p.m.
Cullman Police Department Public Information Officer Adam Clark thanked CPD officers for their quick action in arresting Phillips.
Three years ago, almost exactly on that day, Phillips was arrested by the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office after leading deputies and investigators on a vehicle pursuit.
On October 16, 2020, CCSO posted on Facebook, “Yesterday afternoon, Mr. Phillips eluded CCSO deputies and investigators following a short vehicle pursuit. Today, we received information that Mr. Phillips was still in the area. CCSO agents continued to search the area when Mr. Phillips approached the undercover agent asking him to leave the area in his vehicle, at which time he was arrested.
