Two men have been arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl, according to the sheriff’s office.
Josue Daniel Marquez-Urutia, 19, and Carlos Mejia-Melgar, 21, who were arrested Wednesday, were charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child, sexual assault of a child and aggravated sexual assault of a child. He has been charged with inciting assault.
Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar said Wednesday that both men are expected to be indicted on similar charges, but court records show Mejia Melgar faces three charges, bail is set at $300,000, and Marquez Urrutia faces three charges. The defendant faces two charges and bail is set at $200,000.
Salazar said both men were from Honduras and one was in the U.S. illegally.

Deputies received a call in August from the girl’s mother who said she had discovered explicit photos and Instagram conversations between the girl and two adult men on her child’s cell phone.
Salazar said investigators discovered the child met two men at a Walmart near Loop 1604 and Potranco in July. The three began communicating after exchanging Instagram usernames.
“Over the next few days and weeks, they arranged meetings with the victims and sometimes engaged in sexual acts,” Salazar said.
Salazar said the child received “several hundred dollars in cash” from the two men in exchange for sex acts.
Over two months, investigators, with the help of other agencies, were able to positively identify the man through social media.
Marquez-Urutia and Mejia-Melgar were taken into custody without incident at an apartment complex near Militari and Marbach. Salazar said the sheriff’s office has no information on previous arrests for either suspect.
