Due to my job, I often set up new Android devices, so I was very relieved to see that Google Play Store finally added the option to download multiple apps at once a few months ago. However, updating multiple apps at the same time was still a long way off, and the Play Store update chaos was only getting worse. But things have changed now that Play Store finally lets you update multiple apps.
Since the Google Play Store 40.6.31 update in April 2024, the two apps are now available for download. new You can download multiple apps at the same time. Google Play Store You can update the app three times After that, the app will show a pending label. This pending queue will start to clear only after the app updates are installed. Thanks to the folks at 9to5Google for spotting this.
But I actually Download 4 new apps at once It's available on the Play Store right now. If you exceed this limit, your app will be marked as pending, which is doubly good. However, if the feature isn't available yet, you'll probably just need to be patient. This is most likely a server-side update.
The OnePlus 11R and Pixel 9 I have were able to run multiple app updates with the latest Play Store. 42.4.22 UpdateOn the other hand, in my iQOO 12, Old 42.3.24 updateEither way, this is great news, as Google has been trying to make this long-awaited feature a reality for years, but I can't help but look forward to a future where this number grows and I'll be able to download and update around 10 apps at a time.
From the looks of it, Google is certainly taking small steps towards a bigger goal, but I don't understand why such a simple yet quality of life enhancing feature has been overlooked for so long. What do you think? Let me know in the comments below.
