ZEC offers unique educational opportunities not offered in mainstream education schools.
“ZEC fosters self-confidence, creativity, job training and employment, social connections and a sense of belonging,” said Katherine Lanham, ZEC's education administrator and transition coordinator.
“We teach students communication and life skills to improve their futures,” Lanham continued. “Our programs aim to connect people with and without differences to share common interests, create opportunities for participants to improve their social skills in a safe and comfortable environment, teach self-confidence techniques, and assist with the transition from high school to the workplace.”
