BOISE, Idaho (CBS 2) — Summer is almost over, meaning it's time for many students to return to school.
But for younger learners, finding a space specifically for preschoolers can be a challenge.
That's why the City of Boise has a unique preschool program that immerses your child in outdoor activities at the Foothills Learning Center and in a garden environment at Boise's Urban Garden.
Organizers say their goal is for campers to feel comfortable in nature while learning environmental principles.
Through a wealth of experiences and learning opportunities, preschoolers explore the ecosystem around them and learn through a STEM-based curriculum, developing cognitive, motor and emotional skills.
Organizers understand that the majority of class time will be outdoors and plan to meet regardless of weather, so please make sure students are prepared with appropriate outerwear.
Parents have two options: a three-day outdoor preschool program or a five-day outdoor preschool program.

Scholarships are also available.
I am incredibly grateful to and want to recognize all of the teachers and educators who give so much of themselves to Idaho students.
