3. Smart ways to help you save money
The new Adaptive Eco feature takes the guesswork out of saving energy. This feature automatically changes the temperature while you're away to maximize savings, while ensuring your home is back to your desired temperature within an hour of returning home. For example, on a cold winter's day, Adaptive Eco could just lower the temperature slightly while you're away, so your home is warm before you get home. Meanwhile, on a mild spring day, your thermostat could make a larger adjustment to an efficient energy-saving temperature, saving you even more and keeping your home comfortable.
4. Schedule management made easy
Smart Schedules makes it even easier to program your thermostat to reduce energy usage. With this new feature, you set a temperature schedule initially, and over time the schedule adapts to your preferences and routines. When Smart Schedules identifies changes to your schedule that could save energy or improve your comfort, it will automatically update your schedule based on your preferences or suggest changes in the Google Home app. You can simply accept or decline these suggestions in the Google Home app.
5. New Nest temperature sensor and comfort features
Every Nest Learning Thermostat (4th Gen) comes with the all-new Nest Temperature Sensor to help keep the rooms that matter most at just the right temperature. With Temperature Schedules, you can choose to prioritize temperatures in the rooms your sensor is in at different times of the day. For example, you can prioritize your bedroom temperature at night and your office temperature during the day. If you have multiple sensors, you can also create a comfortable average temperature across your rooms.
