Here's how it works: Choose the app you want to protect. Ideally, you'll choose an app you want to protect with face unlock, such as a banking app, or a stock trading or investment app. There's no limit to the number of apps you can protect with this feature. On the home screen, touch and hold the icon of the app you want to lock with Face ID. You'll see an option that says “Require Face ID.” Select it and you'll see a prompt with three options:
- Require facial recognition
- Hide and require Face ID
- cancel

The “Hide and Require Face ID” feature not only uses a big, burly bouncer by a velvet rope to decide whether or not to let you in (Face ID, of course), it also hides the app icon from your home screen and hides it from your App Library.[éč”Øē¤ŗć¢ććŖ]Move it to the folder. The icon will remain hidden until Face ID verifies your identity and the icon appears in the folder. Note that if you choose to hide an app icon, you won't be able to receive notifications, calls, or alerts from this app, and it won't appear in Siri Suggestions.
If you have an app that is protected by Face ID and you want to end this protection, long press the app icon on the Home screen and tap Don't require Face ID. You will no longer need to verify your identity with Face ID to open the app. If you have hidden apps that are protected by Face ID, go to the App Library on the last page of the Home screen. When you tap the Hidden folder, you will see all the apps that have been verified by Face ID and that you have chosen to hide.
To undo this, press and hold the appropriate app icon and[ćć¼ć ē»é¢ć«čæ½å ]Select . You'll be asked to confirm this action. When you find the app icon on your home screen, you should be able to access the app without using Face ID. That is,[ćć¼ć ē»é¢ć«čæ½å ]Tapping the option will not only make the app icon visible again but will also remove Face ID protection for the app.
